PROMINENT GAS-BAGS OPPOSE PLAN - After a week in which television pundits talked about the Rev. Wright controversy ad nauseam, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama proposed a "gas-bag holiday" to silence such repetitious discussions. "Under my plan, all gas-bags would go on vacation until the second week of November."

when asked how the upcoming party conventions could be held if all of the nation's politicians were on forced holiday, Obama responded, "First of all, no one ever had to FORCE a politician to go on holiday!"

Right after Lou Dobbs wild rant about Senator Obama's indifference to wearing a flag pin, Mr Dobbs started to put yet another flag pin on his lapel when he inadvertently pricked himself with the pin and began to fly around the studio in an uncontollable fashion. He then crashed into Wolfe Blitzer, who was rehearsing his trademark interviewing tactic of repeatedly asking the same question in a variety of different ways. Mr. Blitzers anemic beard was not injured in the incident. However Lou Dobbs did experience a slight deflation of his ego, and was rushed to Lakehurst NJ, Hanger No.1 where he was patched up and will be kept overnight for observation.

  I wonder what would happen if one of his interns accidentally informed Dobbs that McCain doesn`t wear a flag pin either.
  CNN would probably have to put Dobbs on suicide watch.
