Posted By ind06 6 months ago in HumorThe president said that he thought the chances of his someday reading Mr. McClellan's book were "zero," adding, "If I didn't read the Iraq Study Group's report, I don't think I'm about to read Scott McClellan's little book."

Scott McClellan responded by saying that while he knew the President was no reader, he also knew Bush had the best of intentions when it came to reading, that he meant well as far as reading was concerned and that President Bush couldn't really be held responsible for his personal choice to not read much. McClellan then added, "I'm mailing him a copy of the audio book just so he doesn't feel left out around the water cooler."

Maybe someone should tell him he's the hero - or the anti-hero, caught on the horns of a dilemna, and a lot of its set in Texas..
No, probably won't work!
Perhaps he'll watch the video when he has a bit of time to spare, after cutting brush or biking with Lance Armstrong or whatever it is he's been up to for the last 8 years while Dick and Karl - and Scotty were running the country. [Different Scott, I know - but does he? Didn't they drown the other one in a flood somewhere?]

See? I'm not the only one who knows about Bush's video game-playing.
Icono1, it took me forever to read your comment. If that's the stuff Bush reads, he must be a genius. ;-)

He does not read to read what anybody anywhere has already done.
He already knows everything. Besides, haven`t you heard, God tells him to kill and steal so he cannot be wrong. Very simple.

Ha hahaahahaaa.
Bush and books don't mix. Look at his education. I'm sure he got the best education his daddy's money could buy.
Scott's got nothing to worry about. By the time Bush got done reading the book. He'd forget what he'd read and have to start all over again. LOL

The other day I ran across the headline about Lieberman and Hagee and first thought it was an Onion headline, now this headline that could easily be straight off the front page of any news site and not seem incongruous with what is known of W.
Lots of people I've considered very well informed and intelligent didn't like to read. But they WOULD if they wanted to know something or be able to discourse intelligently or at least informatively on a subject. Frank Zappa comes to mind.
But Bush's steadfast refusals to even be aware of public opinions and published facts is one of the more brazen cases of self-reinforcing psychosis in a public figure that I have ever run across outside of some organizations often referred to as brainwashing cults. It's one thing to ignore your critics, but to be unaware of their criticisms is ignorance.

I think you got all those negatives because you left out half the story.
Everybody knows Bush refuses to listen too.

No surprise. Why he has to read it? It is basically an account of what he did and asked his henchmen in his administration to do. In 3 words:
BREAK THE LAW.

The problem with putting McC's book in an Xbox game box is that GWB might mistake it for a box of targets for shooting practice. Come to think of it, he might offer real targets as a peace offering to Cheyney. Targets with orange fluorescent vests printed on them.

Read Bush's comment carefully. He will NOT read the study on Iraq. Why? Afraid of the truth? Can't wait until next January.

It is not surprising the Bush will not read McC's book. Strongly supported suspician is that Bush lacks the capability of concentrating long enough to read a book and that he has a very difficult time in even holding the book right side up (just look back at the photo of him at an elementary school when 9/11 happened).
I don't doubt that Bush is intelligent, but he is no genuis in the reading or speaking dept. He interpret things he reads in ways that no reasonable person would interpret them. Then, if you disagree with his interpretation he tries to make you out to be a fool. Of course, no egotist such as Bush can ever addmit to being wrong. Instead it must be someone on his staff giving him incorrect information. So glad this jerk will be gone - less than one year to go.

Bush is dumb and you guys are smart. We get it already. Reading some drivel by a disgruntled employee certainly is not going to be any more constructive to The President than reading the above venting that is trite and misdirected.
Oh BTW, why does our dumb guy beat your smart guys...twice? You can't use the word steal or cheat in your answer.

You know it is scary that so many people can be fooled after seeing the mistake they made the first time around.
I guess that explains the high divorce rate for second and third marriages as well.

How can you explain Bushes winning twice? Oh and you can't lie or state your opinion.
I guess you'd have to say his family tradition of winning even if you bypass the laws is OK right?

Rightwing media giving him a pass from birth through today is a huge part of the reason nearly 51 million Americans voted against their own self-interests in 2004 for example.
We had a loser of a president who let 9/11 happen despite the mountain of warnings. He derailed, delayed, and tried to hijack the 9/11 investigation. Finally, his own hand-picked people investigated, but he refused to testify under oath, in public, or from anywhere besides Cheney`s lap.
He promised to never rest til OBL was brought to justice, but three months later didn`t care where OBL was. He hijacked the WOT to invade an oil-rich country that never attacked nor threatened us, letting OBL go in the process.
Worst fiscal policy, most corrupt regime, and worst foreign-policy disaster in our history bar none.
The real Q is why do so many Americans adamantly vote anti-American?

Uh, Bush has broken many laws, known and suspected. However, if you understand the basics of our government you know that it requires more than a simple majority of Congress to affect an impeachment.
And since the right-wing cronies who have profited immensely from the Bush admin off of the middle class also own the MSM, they are not about to cooperate.
Nobody can fix everything Bush has done/not done, don`t be silly.
Nobody can bring back the 3,000 9/11 victims, 4,000 plus GIs, or hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis.
However, Obama can prosecute the criminals who have taken over our government and are stealing your money and your childrens future prospects. Accountability, ever heard that word before??
McCain is more of the same ol` handouts, corruption, and belligerence over intelligence. If you think he will do anything good for middle-class Americans, I got Mars property to sell you.

Even if he were going to read it I'm sure he wouldn't admit to it. There is no reason to.

Last time I saw our beloved Bushy read anything was on 09/11 at some munchkin school for tater-tots. If member serves, he reads far better if the book is upside-down and backwards.
