While the research suggests a link between self-doubt and childhood verbal abuse, the report was quick to point out that the researchers have never been very good at experimentation, and should have asked their boyfriends for help.

In related news: A study on painful self-consciousness was ready to be released when the scientists responsible became terrified that their findings would make them look ten years older.

Reassurances by their mothers quickly followed stating that the research made them look "just fine" and that "any man would love someone who researched the way you do".

The researchers came back with the theoretical postulate: "You're my mom. Therefore you are obligated to say things like that. Therefore your opinion in these matters cannot be trusted. Therefore I am fat and funny looking."

I have very little self doubt, thanks to lots of childhood verbal abuse. I don't doubt that I drove my parents crazy, just like my kids drove me crazy, just like their kids drive them crazy, etc. etc. etc.

Remember insanity is contagious you catch it from your parents and kids.

    LOL
