Rain had only one comment as it left the Adair area. "Why is it always 'rain, rain go away'? You know, it's not necessary to say my name twice! I heard you the #%@!* first time!"

      A class 5 hurricane.

Well that will be historical. Since Iowa is landlocked.

Unless they know of a pretty bad earthquake before then.

      Good one ind06

That was a misprint, it's actually called a "landicane", or was that a "candicane"...?

Glad you liked it cowboygrandpa! :)

Part of the story was left out to avoid public panic.

This storm took 22 years to come back. The hurricane is expected in 44 years. In 2030, halfway between now and 2052, a Richter 8.0 earthquake is forecast that will leave Adair in approximately the current location of Pawtucket. Then the class 5 hurricane makes sense.

Disclosing this minor detail would be detrimental to public morale.

      A landicane and a pornado!

Was that on TV or You Tube?

Am I in the right place?

Ladybugs; my kids used to keep them in a jar. A few of them are left as petrified specimens in the jars they used.

I'll pour another drink to get a reality buzz & figure this out.

I would recommend gin, it goes well with ladybugs, petrified as well s fresh.

And what happened to Art, since he was responsible for its return.

Good thing it wasn't winter or you would have a wizard up your gizard
